The conference aims to addresses the path forward in overcoming the various research and development challenges for implementation of renewable energy technologies.

The course is organized into three sections covering the basics of electro-mechanical coupling in piezo- and ferroelectric materials and their constitutive response in the first part. The second part focuses on magnetostrictive materials, their constitutive modelling and experimental characterization. The third part focuses on the basics of shape memory alloys and the modelling aspects of their constitutive response.

The conference focuses on latest developments in the field of Ca2+ signaling. The sessions shall cover cellular Ca2+ homeostasis, organellar Ca2+ dynamics, Ca2+ microdomains and their role in health and diseases.
