Bioengineering

The goal of the conference ‘Bioengineering-2019’ is to celebrate the spirit of the bioengineering research in India. The conference aims to provide a platform to the scholars to present advances in the relevant research fields and to exchange ideas and information.

Harnessing new generation green technologies from plant, microbial and waste sources for sustainable crop, environmental and human health

The training programme focuses on concepts of new generation green technologies for environmental sustainability, waste utilization for product development and delivery, mining of high quality biomaterials, nutraceuticals and pesticide remediation.

Analyzing the global sustainability of forest-based bio-energy development with special focus on utilizing wood pellets for electricity generation

In this short course, a mix of lectures and hands-on exercises coupled with a short field visit aim to help participants in developing an advanced understanding and some basic skills for evaluating the overall sustainability of a wood-based energy enterprise.

Functional & Technical Textiles – Design, Structure, Testing & Applications

The workshop aims to cover selected topics of the functional and technical textiles for their application in wearable technology, energy harvesting, composites and protection. The course contents are systematically arranged to include the whole gamut of science, engineering, technology and design principles that are required for the research and development of these functional textile products. Both theory and practical components have been included to help participants gaining hand on experience in products designing and analysis.

Transportation Systems: Dynamics and Control for Traffic, Vehicles, and Pedestrians

The aim of the workshop is to exposing participants to the fundamentals of transportation dynamics and control methods. Building in confidence and capability amongst the participants in the application of engineering technology in terms of sensors, actuators, processors, software methods and control design principles for transportation problem.

Atomistic Simulations of Materials

The focus of the workshop will be on the atomistic simulations of point, line, and planar defects, and study of elastic and plastic deformation properties in metallic materials. Knowledge of crystallographic structure and properties is a pre-requisite. The workhorse techniques of molecular statics (MS) and molecular dynamics (MD) will be covered in sufficient detail.
