The National Informatics Centre Services Inc. (NICSI) was set up in 1995 as a section 25 Company under National Informatics Centre, Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Government of India, to provide total IT solutions to the government organizations. The NICSI provide the economic, scientific, technological social and cultural development of India by promoting the utilization of information technology. Computer-communication networks, informatics etc. by a spinoff of the services, technologies, infrastructure and expertise developed by the NIC including its computer-communication network, NICNET and associated infrastructure and services and promote further development of services, technologies, infrastructure and expertise supplementing that developed by NIC, in directions which will increase the revenue earning capacity of NIC.
