International Organisations
The British Council is the UK's international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities. The council is spread over six continents and hundred countries, bringing international opportunity to life every day. The organization promotes a wider knowledge of the United Kingdom and the English language; encouraging cultural, scientific, technological and educational co-operation with the United Kingdom and changing people's lives through access to education, skills, qualifications, culture and society. Under science and research funding, British Council funds several programmes and schemes, like Newton fund, fame labs, institutional grants, research grants, workshop grants, and travel grants.
