Executive Summary :

Oxygen is a life-saving drug that cannot be substituted. Doctors treat respiratory disorders such as pulmonary disease, COVID-19 and pneumonia with oxygen. Affordable and long-term access to oxygen has been a critical challenge in many nations since the outbreak of COVID-19. Even though oxygen is crucial for the efficient treatment of COVID-19 patients in hospitals, availability is limited due to timely availability, cost, infrastructure, and logistical hurdles. Health care institutions frequently lack access to the timely need for oxygen resulting in the loss of life that may have been avoided. Considering the above facts, the prime objective of this project is to develop a prototype module to produce medical grade oxygen from the existing liquid nitrogen plant from the waste gas recovery of its PsA system but without affecting the liquid nitrogen production of the plant. The proposed methodology is unique, simple, cost-effective, retrofitted to any existing liquid nitrogen plants, and does not affect the existing plant operations or performance.
