Executive Summary :

The objectives of this project are: 1. Study of GAD activity in mycobacteria during acidic and antibiotic stress. 2. To determine the role of GAD activity on mycobacterial survival in acidic environment within host macrophages. 3. To determine the role of GAD activity in antibiotic sensitivity in mycobacteria. 4. Delineate the regulation of mycobacterial GAD in acidic environment.
