ICMR Chairs for Sr. Retired Medical / Biomedical Teachers/ Scientists

There are two types of Chairs: Dr. C. G. Pandit National Chairs and Dr. A. S. Paintal Distinguished Scientist Chairs of ICMR to utilize the services of senior eminent medical/ biomedical researchers to serve as think tanks for the organization for strengthening and shaping up its research and human research agenda. On the lines of such Chairs/ positions being available in various science/academic agencies of ICMR. ICMR Chairs should work preferably, at ICMR Hqrs/Institutes.

Funding Agency: Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Govt. of India

Eligibility: Retired medically qualified persons are eligible for Dr. C. G. Pandit NationalChair and retired Non-medical/ Bio-medical/ Professors/ Bio-Medical Teachers are eligible for the Dr. A. S. Paintal Distinguished Scientist Chairs. The persons should preferably be the Fellows of all the National Science Academies. At a given point of time, only two such Chairs will exist.

Application Method: Offline

Fellowship / Financial Assistance: For Dr. C. G. Pandit NationalChair: the remuneration of Rs. 2.00 lakh per month and no contingency or secretarial staff. For Dr. A. S. Paintal Distinguished Scientist Chairs: Rs.1.75 lakh per month and no contingency or secretarial staff
