Enrolling exceptionally gifted Ph.D. scholars in foundational courses and training in cutting-edge technology platforms during the first semester at RCB will serve as a catalyst for the goals of the i3C BRIC-RCB Ph.D. program in biosciences. Using the academic and infrastructure strengths of RCB and the iBRICs, the new Ph.D. program would be modelled after the current RCB Ph.D. program but with a lot of new material. Using the academic and infrastructure strengths of RCB and the iBRICs, the new Ph.D. program would be modelled after the current RCB Ph.D. program but with a lot of new material. While adhering to the most recent UGC regulations on eligibility, duration, and coursework credit requirements, the program will be governed by RCB statutes, ordinances, and regulations. A pertinent immersion program (field internship) for an extra three months right after the first semester of courses would also be part of the Ph.D. curriculum. The coursework and internship will be followed by doctoral research with the appropriate supervisors in the iBRICs, RCB, or ICGEB.
