DBT-Research Associateship (RA) Programme

The DBT-Research Associateship (DBT-RA) Program's goal is to develop young scientists and researchers, create a critical mass of skilled labour in contemporary biology and biotechnology, and establish a strong postdoctoral foundation for the expansion of the nation's biotechnology industries. Candidates are invited to apply if they have a strong desire to conduct internationally competitive research that results in novel discoveries, translation, the creation of patents, and/or societal impacts.

Eligibility: 1. The candidates should have a strong academic record, a Ph.D. in science or engineering, or an M.D. or M.S. in any branch of medicine with a focus on biotechnology and life sciences. 2. Those who have already turned in their Ph.D., M.D., or M.S. theses are also qualified to apply. If selected, these candidates will receive a smaller fellowship award until they meet the requirements for the degree. 3. The upper age limit is 40 years for male candidates and 45 years in the case of female candidates as on the last date of application.

Duration: The fellowship is tenable for two years, with an annual renewal depending on an evaluation of the research's advancement. The fellowship may be extended under exceptional situations for a maximum of four years, contingent on the advancement of the researc
