Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SINE)

A Broad Spectrum Technology Business Incubator, SINE has provided early-stage startup support in a number of different technology domains. supported by several government agencies, such as the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), the Department of Science and Technology (DST), the Ministry of Defense (MoD), the Ministry of Power (MoP), the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC), the Technology Development Board (TDB), and the Department of Biotechnology (DBT). To further support the startup ecosystem, SINE also partners with corporations and works with international organizations on their CSR and Open Innovation needs.

Output & Achievements: SINE IIT Bombay has been honored with the esteemed 'Star Contributor' award by the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) at IIT Bombay in 2024, acknowledging its exceptional contributions to IIC 6.0., SINE has received the 'Best Assistive Technology Investor of the Year' award at the AssisTech Foundation Awards 2023, recognizing innovative excellence in assistive technology., SINE was also honored by DST for its outstanding contributions to innovation and entrepreneurship at the DST Startup Utsav event, part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration in 2022., India Electronics and Semiconductor Association honored SINE, IIT Bombay, with the 'Incubator of the Year' award at the 2019 Technovation Awards., SINE received the prestigious 'Best Incubator Award' from the DST in 2009, a testament to its excellence and a milestone that cemented its position as a leading incubator in the country.
