Khorana Program for Scholars

This is an Indo-US collaborative effort toward building a seamless scientific community and creating an effective scientific contact between the biotechnology students of India and US. This prestigious Program is named in honour of Dr. Har Gobind Khorana, Nobel Prize winner in 1968 for his work at the interface of Chemistry and Biology while being a faculty of the University of Wisconsin-Madison (UW). The Program dates are usually May-July every year. Eligibility: The scholarship provides opportunities to Indian students (B.Tech, M.Tech, M.B.B.S., B.Pharm and B.Sc./M.Sc. students currently enrolled in recognized institutions of higher education in India in Biotechnology and allied areas) to undertake research internship at UW and partner universities for a period of 10 weeks. Students pursuing Ph.D/Final year students are not eligible to apply. Fellowship amount: The scholarship includes Stipend, Airfare and Health Insurance.
