The DBT Energy Biosciences Overseas Fellowships is a re-entry scheme aimed at bringing back young scientists of Indian origin working overseas and who are desirous of returning to India and pursuing, complementing and enhancing quality of Research and Development (R&D) in energy related biosciences in an Indian institution.
Eligibility: The applicant should possess a PhD in relevant areas and/or an outstanding track record reflected in publications and other recognitions.
Fellowship amount: Fellowship of Rs. 85,000/- p.m. plus House Rent allowance (HRA) of Rs. 7500/- p.m. is provided. A Research/Contingency grant of Rs. 10 Lakh for first year, Rs. 7.5 Lakh for second year while Rs 5 Lakh for subsequent years is provided. The duration would be for a period of 1 year, extendable for 3 years based on the performance.
