S&T Awards*
This award, instituted in 1991, is given annually to accord recognition to high calibre scientific research undertaken by Indian Scientists, below the age of 50, living and working in India. Their work done mostly during past 5 years is given preference. The award is open to any branch of science and technology including medical science, basic as well as applied sciences. The award carries a cash prize of Rs. 2.5 Lakh and a citation.
