Objective: To encourage young persons taking to dairy profession so that in their professional career they are able to serve the profession better; and to provide competitive incentive amongst the staff and students of the five centers where IDD training is being given namely: i. Allahabad Agricultural Institute Allahabad ii. Dairy Science College Anand iii. dairy Training Centre Flaringhatta (near Calcutta) iv. Dairy Science Institute Arey Bombay v. National dairy Research Institute Southern Reg. Station

Criteria: 1. The awards are based on the examination conducted simultaneously at the centers named above. 2. Gold Medals are given on the combined results of all the centers. In addition silver medals are given to the first ranker in each centre.
