Advanced copper tailings pavers block are 10-15% economical than conventional pavers block; The product is easy to cast, handle and deliver with economic viability, hence it contains ample opportunity to generate small scale business. Being precast deliverable, it does not require additional efforts and complex engineering onsite. It is a Good Aesthetic and Value Added product; It has wider application spectrum for Engineering Infrastructure.

Description :

Around 60 Million Tonnes of Copper Tailings stocked at Hindustan Coppers Limited, Malanjkhand Distt. Balaghat (M.P.). Annual generation of copper tailings in India is around 4.0-5.0 Million Tonnes. Replacement of River Sand with tailored Copper Tailings in conventional concrete mechanism. Process leads to saving of precious river sand, thus environment friendly and economically viable material. Developed process enables in-situ mineralization of toxic elements in the advanced matrix ensuring safe utilization of copper tailings. Addresses serious environmental concerns pertaining to illegal sand mining. Advanced copper tailings pavers block are 10-15% economical than conventional pavers block. The average compressive strength of pavers block made from new copper tailings was found to be 27.0 MPa in comparison to conventional paver block having average compressive strength of 25.3 MPa.
