Vigyan Vidushi- a book that is highly sought after, timely and depicts the saga of women’s pride- portrays the valuable contribution of 75 Indian women scientists, as the nation recently commemorated “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”, marking the 75 glorious years of progressive India and its rich history, and now entering into the Amrit Kaal.

These biographies vividly describe the contribution and struggle of women scientists in developing the course of science in India.

It also highlights the personal lives of women scientists and the challenges they faced while chasing their dreams.

Vigyan Vidushi is about

Women’s endurance, resilience and commitment to overcoming arduous struggle and must have been nerve-wracking too, but nothing is tall enough to dampen the spirit of our Vidushis, who set new milestones each passing day. The book aims to disperse a message to the S&T leaders and decision-makers to keep up the recent traction they have built to promote ‘Women in Science’ and to the young the path shown, created as the beacons. Including these 75 women as trailblazers do not suffice the exhaustive list of the outstanding contributions from women scientists. Entering into Amrit Kaal, VP proposes to develop many more volumes of Vigyan Vidushi.
