The present invention provides a veterinary formulation comprising aivlosin or a pharmacologically acceptable (non-toxic) derivative such as an acid addition salt, for the preparation of a veterinary medicament for the treatment and prophylaxis of diseases and infections of pigs and poultry.More particularly, the veterinary formulation comprises aivlosin and tetracycline.In particular, the diseases and infections treatable are necrotic enteritis in poultry and Lawsonia infections, Mycoplasma diseases and swine dysentery in pigs.
