A process for preparing immobilized nano-sized metal particles by treating wet fungal mycelia with a metal ion solution at temperature in the range of 15 to 40°C for a period in the range of 2 to 120 hours, separating the biomass to obtain the immobilized nano-sized metal particles deposited on to the surface of the fungal cells.
