Science and Heritage Research Initiative (SHRI) Cell Call for Proposal 2025

The Science and Heritage Research Initiative (SHRI) Cell, Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, intends to utilize modern S&T tools to preserve, protect, and present ancient scientific and technological heritage of India at global platform. DST invites proposals on the various indicative areas to establish Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Traditional Indian Science and Technology in Academic Institutions and Universities with proven record to work in the area of Heritage Science.

Eligibility: a) Applicant(s) should be an Academician/Scientist working in Public/Private Academic Institute/University. b) A single proposal for 3 years may be submitted, this could be extended further based on performance evaluation and recommendation of the Expert Advisory Committee. c) The proposed budget should be realistic and in line with the proposed objectives. d) Indicate quarterly deliverables in the form of a Gantt chart. e) A dedicated area minimum of approx. 5000 sq ft is expected to be allocated for CoE by the Host Institute/Organization.
