Call for Research Proposals under India-EU co-operation on Cumulative Impacts of Marine Pollution on Marine Organisms and Ecosystems (HORIZON-CL6-2025-01-ZEROPOLLUTION-05)

India, under the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), is committed to tackling marine pollution and advancing a sustainable blue economy, as highlighted during its G20 Presidency theme “Scientific Challenges and Opportunities for a Sustainable Blue Economy”. The National Mission on Blue Economy and marine litter policy align with global efforts like the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development and the planned Global Agreement to End Plastic Pollution.

Eligibility: 1. Project Consortium: A group submitting a full proposal, including: o Indian Coordinator: The proposals are to be led by faculties/scientists working in regular position in recognized Academic Organizations/Public funded R&D Institutions/Laboratories, Central and State Government autonomous organizations. o Indian Beneficiary Partners: All Project Consortium Partners (including the Coordinator) applying for funding from the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES). o Self-financed Partner(s): Indian Project Consortium Partners participating without MoES funding, submitting a Letter of Commitment with their declared costs. 2. Eligible Indian Project Consortium Partners: Legal entities from India, such as: o Public or private academic institutions. o National or state-funded R&D labs. o Urban and local bodies. o Non-academic R&D centers or research foundations recognized as Scientific and Industrial Research Organizations (SIRO) by DSIR
