To avoid the wastage of oxygen from the cylinder-based oxygen support system, an SpO2 based regulated oxygen cylinder has been designed. This system is designed to monitor the SpO2 levels of the user through a fingertip sensor and the output of same is connected to the electronic controller for regulating oxygen delivery. Depending on the patient’s oxygen saturation, the electronic controller auto regulates the flow of oxygen through a nasal cannula. The system consists of 10 litre O2 Cylinder; pressure Regulator cum Flow Controller, Humidifier, Nasal Cannula, Non Rebreather mask, Electronic Control System, and SpO2 Probe.
