A Process for the Preparation of Cyclosporin-A from the Fungus Tolypocladium

It is used as an immunosuppressive drug while transplanting the organ. It is administered for the prevention of organ rejection in transplantation surgery. During the course of searching for microbial agents with mosquitocidal properties, a fungus, Tolypocladium was obtained, which also produces cyclosporin-A. A laboratory scale process for the production of cyclosporin-A and a HPCL method for the identification of cyclosporin-A, B and C isomers in fermentation samples were developed.
