Phosphamidon

Dichlorophos (DDVP) is an organo phosphorous pesticide. It is highly toxic to insects and is also a fumigant for beef and dairy cattle. The technology for manufacture of Dichlorophos was developed by Regional Research Laboratory, Hyderabad (Presently known as Indian Institute of Chemical Technology) which utilises indigenous raw material and equipments. The Corporation licensed the process to many companies in the country and the product produced by these companies has helped effectively in improving the public health and crop protection.
