Brief Description

Description :

CECRI, Karaikudi had developed the “Magnesium Silver Chloride Sea Water activated Battery. This is a reserve cell system activated by sea water at the time of Power requirement. The important features of this system are its long shelf life, high power and energy density, quick activation time and high reliability. The battery system consists of Mg alloy as anode and sintered AgCl as cathode. The Cell components are housed in plastic containers. Thin plastic wires are used as separators. This battery is activated by either salt water or sea water.
