Brief Description

Description :

This technology is developed as a community-level water treatment system for removing arsenic from contaminated water at high flow rates ranging from 4000–5000 LPH. It uses locally available and cost-effective filter media such as manganese dioxide (MnO?), and requires minimal water for backwashing due to its single-vessel design. The system also exhibits antibacterial properties and ensures treated water complies with IS drinking water standards. It is scalable and suitable for deployment in arsenic-affected regions. Key Features: • High flow rate operation (4000–5000 LPH) with scalability • Removes arsenic (As III and As V) up to ~300 ppb levels • Uses low-cost, non-toxic, and locally available media • Regeneration possible through backwashing • Provides antibacterial properties and ensures safe drinking water
