Post-Doctoral
Group Algebras, Representations and Computation
The focus of this program is on theoretical aspects of group algebras and representation theory of finite and profinite groups complemented by computational techniques using discrete algebra system GAP.
Smooth and Homogenous Dynamics
The aim of this workshop is to gather top experts in these thrust areas to deliver expositions on the state of the art in these subjects. The first week will be devoted to differentiable dynamics and the second week to homogeneous dynamics.
P-adic automorphic forms and perfectoid spaces
The aim of the conference is to understand connections between the arithmetic theory of modular forms and new developments in p-adic Hodge theory that grew from the breakthrough work of Peter Scholze on perfectoid spaces.
Perfectoid Spaces
The aim of the workshop is to understand connections between the arithmetic theory of modular forms and new developments in p-adic Hodge theory that grew from the breakthrough work of Peter Scholze on perfectoid spaces.
Layout and Maintenance of Field Experiments and Recording Observations
The entire course curriculum would emphasis on the logic and philosophy behind the field technique taking into account the scientific methodology of field experiments. Considering both the theory and practical classes, the course would address how to formulate an appropriate plan for designing ground layout of a field study, collection of scientific information of parameters under study, record field data and maintain a data sheet. It may include knowledge on various types of field design fulfilling the objective(s) of the study.
Hands on Training and Exercise on the Tool for Planning of Sustainable Development: ArcGIS
Programme aims at awareness generation among the participants & strengthening the manpower regarding, planning for sustainable development, so that different remedial measures can be adopted by using ArcGIS and to train the participants on it.
Translational research of traditionally used Indian medicinal plants with special reference to Tinospora cordifolia
Newer technologies are employed to understand the chemistry, pharmacological activity and their underlying mechanisms of action of medicinal plants as a lead towards drug development from natural resources. Guduchi (Tinospora cordifoila), is one of the ancient Indian medicinal plants which has been traditionally used in Ayurveda. Traditionally it is used for its immunomodulatory properties and also in the treatment of several other ailments.
Renewable energy for environmental protection and energy conservation
The short course program will explore the college/university/institute teachers, researchers and extension subject matter specialists in agricultural sciences, the effectiveness of power generated by renewable energy sources, technological innovation, guidelines to identify the proper design and large-scale deployment of innovative and locally appropriate technologies, business models, financial mechanisms. regulations, and policies for reducing the environmental issues.
Transcriptome profiling by next generation sequencing
The workshop combines both experimental and computational aspects of NGS. The focus is on (1) the preparation of libraries from poly-A mRNA, with critical discussions and troubleshooting sessions, and quantification and quality control of the libraries prepared, and (2) current methods, tools, and pipelines to analyze the RNA sequencing data.
Modern Geomatics Techniques
The objective of the workshop is to provide hands-on training on various modern surveying techniques i.e. Automated Total Station, Differential Global Positioning Systems, Terrestrial LiDAR Scanner and Mobile GIS Systems.
