8th annual science journalism workshop

Students will learn the elements of good science writing and the art and craft of conducting effective interviews. The workshop will focus on news and features, two forms of writing that can form the foundation for a career in communicating science to the lay person. Popular science writing and journalism isn’t merely about summarising an academic paper. Rather, it strives to entertain and educate, provide multiple points-of-view, and at its best be an independent and necessary part of a thriving culture of scientific enquiry.

International Travel by Non-ICMR Scientists

The Scheme provides financial assistance for presenting research paper or chairing a session as also delivering lectures in an international scientific event (Conference/ Seminar/ Symposia/ Workshops) to Non-ICMR Bio-medical Scientists. In addition, support is also provided to young scientists (age limit 35 years as on date of event), nurses and paramedical staff for attending training programmes and short- term Schools/ Workshops/ Courses on the basis of the priority areas already defined.
