Executive Summary : | Current necessity of clean environment and waste mitigation demands a facile methodology to develop a novel material which can address both issues simultaneously without any hazardous consequences. Therefore, a poisonous shrub Parthenium hysterophorus, which is responsible for dermatitis and respiratory disease, is planned to be exploited as a precursor to develop biographene and its derivatives. The whole plant (stem, leaves, and flowers) will be utilized to develop different morphological features to biographene. It is aimed to optimize the surface characteristics of biographene for optimum photocatalytic hydrogen production through water reduction reaction. The research work targets the reaction optimization to increase the solar-to-fuel (STF) ratio for powder suspended photoreactors. |
