Executive Summary :

The project aims to develop a multimodal model for cognitive fatigue. Fatigue would be induced by a number of standard neuropsychological tests, namely, the Stroop Test, a Visual Response Test, the Wisconsin card sorting test and an n-back test. EEG, speech and thermal images of the face of the subjects will be recorded. In addition, the subjects will also need to answer a self-assessment questionnaire. The information from the questionnaire, the performance of the subjects in the tests and the parameters from the signals recorded would be fused to develop a model for cognitive fatigue. This model may be used to predict the fatigue level of subjects in safety-critical applications, and be useful to develop appropriate countermeasures for the same.
