Executive Summary : | In this smart world, most of the developing countries have been facing a lot of society related health diseases. Most important one among them is Diabetes. Diabetes is a major progressive disease that affects several parts of the human body like eyes, nerves, heart, kidney and skin. WHO (World Health Organization) reported that nearly 135 million people around the world have diabetes mellitus. This population count is expected to reach 400 million by the end of 2030. It is also found that it is the main cause of vision loss for the diabetic patients.. The proposed system will help to detect the presence of Diabetic Retinopathy, Diabetic Maculopathy and Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) using a portable and affordable device. It also recommends the nearby best Ophthalmologist/Hospital based on the severity of the disease so that the patient can quickly check and prevent the loss of vision. The proposed system will help for the mass screening of patients in rural areas at less time with more accuracy. |
