Start-Up Research Grant (Young Scientists)

Start-up grant for Young Scientists is awarded into two new schemes: 1. Early Career Research Award (ECRA): It is a one-time award and carries a research grant up to Rs. 50 Lakhs (excluding overheads) for a period of three years. 2. National Post-Doctoral Fellowship (NPDF):

Eligibility: NPDF-The applicant must have obtained Ph.D./M.D./M.S. degree from a recognized University. Those who have submitted their PhD/M.D/M.S thesis and are awaiting award of the degree are also eligible to apply ECRA-The applicant should hold Ph.D. degree in Science or Engineering or M.D or M.S degree in any area of medicine and must hold a regular academic/research position in a recognized academic institution/ or national laboratories or any other recognized R&D institutions.
