Brief Description
Description : | This technology is designed as a community-scale solution for treating fluoride-contaminated water with a flow rate of approximately 700 LPH and a storage capacity of about 1000 litres. It uses an adsorbent-based filtration system to reduce fluoride levels from high concentrations (up to ~8 ppm) to within permissible limits (~1.5 ppm). The system is suitable for deployment in public institutions such as schools, colleges, and hospitals in fluoride-affected regions. It is designed to operate with low running and maintenance costs while ensuring consistent performance.
Key Features: • Flow rate of ~700 LPH with storage capacity around 1000 litres • Reduces fluoride concentration from ~8 ppm to safe limits (~1.5 ppm) • Uses adsorbent-based filter media with defined lifespan (~2000 litres) • Low operational and maintenance costs • Suitable for institutional and community deployment |
