Brief Description

Description :

This patented technology involves immobilizing bacterial lipases onto functionalized nanoporous activated carbon to create a stable matrix for hydrolyzing chemical surfactants present in biologically treated wastewater. It improves the compatibility of treated wastewater with membrane-based separation processes. The system operates with low energy consumption, minimal sludge production, and no odor emission, making it suitable for industrial applications such as leather processing. Key Features: • Immobilizes bacterial enzymes on nanoporous activated carbon matrix • Facilitates hydrolysis of surfactants in treated wastewater • Enhances compatibility with membrane filtration systems • Low energy requirement and minimal sludge generation • Compact system with low operational cost
