Executive Summary : | Project proposal entitled ‘Scientific approaches to develop Biopesticide for controlling Citrus diseases and standardize the products obtained from Citrus limon (L.) Brum f.’ is a multidisciplinary work to be carried out in Biotech Hub of Science College, Kokrajhar in collaboration with Regional Rice Research Institute, Gossaigaon, Deptt. of Food Technology, CIT, Kokrajhar, Deptt. of Biotechnology, Bodoland University, Kokrajhar and BTR Government, Kokrajhar. The primary aim of the project is to providing scope to the students, cultivators, entrepreneurs and faculties of nearby degree colleges and higher secondary schools of Kokrajhar to involve in lemon industry by organizing hands-on training camp on specific topics based on research activity of Biotech Hub laboratory. Meanwhile the focus is given to develop biopesticide and value added lemon products with follow up action of the expert committee recommendations as constituted by the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India. |

Achievements : | Exploration of around 50 km area followed by sample collection and nursery has been develop under green house. Lemon dried powder was developed and its biochemical analysis has completed. An herbal pesticide solution has been developed and testing is under process. |
