Executive Summary :

The project aims to develop algorithms for above ground biomass estimation using time -series backscatter and coherence datasets and to identify Potential of techniques to relate tomographic SAR products to forest biomass. Further, it is planned to develop algorithms for deforestation detection using time series SAR data and their limitations and generate Forest type classification framework using multi-parametric SAR data. Understanding the impact of terrain slopes on Forest AGB retreival accuracy will also be attempted.
