Brief Description
Description : | Manual decortication of Hirda is an extremely time-consuming and strenuous activity. A machine designed by Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth (MPKV), Rahuri has automated the task but is not able to achieve complete decortication of all the seeds. An improvement in the performance of this machine was necessary. It was preferable that this be achieved by redesign of some critical components of the machine while introducing as little change to the overall operating procedure as possible. Present project attempts to redesign the Hirda decortication machine to achieve maximum decortication with minimum efforts. |
