Remove iron to the desired permissible limit (0.3ppm) of drinking water. No electricity chemical required
. Completely green technology
. Flow rate : ~ 2 L/hour(approx.)
. Storage capacity : ~ 10 L
. No replacement of adsorbent. Backwashing facility is available
. Estimated cost of the iron filter unit : Rs 1000-1500 /- (approx)
Estimated filtration ability of filter medium (backwashing time) is around 40 days (for 7 ppm iron conc.) assuming consumption of 8L of water per day for a family. Transferred to one Indian Industry in non-excl.basis and 20 Nos. of this unit were deployed in different villages under Gram Panchayats in WB. Application: Environmental (Clean Tech.) - Water treatment. |
