Salient features of CSIR-IHBT technology :- Two cultivars namely Jwala and Himroz were developed with flower yield of 25-30 q/ha and essential oil yield of 650-800 g/ha Jwala is recommended for cultivation in sub-tropical northern plains, low hills and mid-hills (upto 1200 m amsl). Himroz is recommended for cultivation in mild temperate to cold temperate conditions (1200-2500 m amsl) . CSIR-IHBT provides :-Planting material of damask rose cultivars to the farmers , Technology for essential oil extraction Trainings on agro-technology and processing technology
