Executive Summary : | The Technology Needs Assessment (TNA) in India was conducted in 2016-18 for ten sectors, including coal and energy, renewables, transport, industrial product and process unit IPPU, waste, agriculture, water, forestry, habitat, and health. This was the first of its kind study in India. With changing socio-economic scenarios and revised targets, it is necessary to reassess technology needs for different sectors. Technology scanning, prioritization, and action plans will be implemented for each sector, with a National Advisory Committee overseeing the project. Foresight tools will be used for scouting and prioritizing technologies. |
