Executive Summary : | This project aims to develop a wearable electronics device that can monitor wellness parameters through sensors and alert in case of emergency. The device will be designed to be comparable to bands like the empatica E4 wrist band and Samsung galaxy watch active 2. Essential five sensors, including Photoplethysmogram (PPG), Electro Dermal Activity (EDA), Electromyogram (EMG), Skin Temperature (ST), and accelerometer sensor, will be interfaced with a 16-bit microcontroller STM32F103C8T6. The device will analyze fall or rapid movement, stress levels from Heart rate (HR), and sleep patterns through PPG and HR sensors. Cloud-based signal processing will be performed, and machine learning models will be used to analyze the dynamic behavior of signal patterns. Four categories of stress indications will be planned: Relax, Calm, Anxious, and Stressed. Sleep pattern analysis and cardiovascular problems can also be assessed through these sensors.
The mobile application program interface API will provide an alert signal based on the condition/classification of the ML model. The product prototype can be deployed to monitor stress levels in various fields, such as IT industries, increasing work efficiency. Clustering analysis through ML models can also help identify criminals, spies, and saboteurs during interrogation processes. By continuously tracking stress levels of cancer patients and autistic children, this project assists psychologists in online treatment sessions. The main intention is to develop an indigenous wellness surveillance system that can monitor and support elder care, especially for those living in low-income countries and with large aging populations. |
