Executive Summary : | Cyclic compounds containing heteroatoms like O, N, and S are of great interest due to their presence in natural and non-natural products and their applications in medicinal chemistry. Oxazines, which are heterocycles with O and N hetero atoms in a cyclic ring system, have important biological activities such as sedative, analgesic, antipyretic, anticonvulsant, antitubercular, antitumor, antimalarial, and antimicrobial properties. The proposed project aims to design and synthesize oxazines of the type G and H and further study their synthetic applications. The main focus of the project is to design and synthesize oxazines of the type G and H, while also conducting extensive biological studies. The project will involve investigating the chemical nature of the starting materials and reagents used, incorporating Green Chemistry principles, characterizing the prepared compounds using various analytical techniques, determining the morphology and crystalline nature of the products through X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) studies, optimizing the synthetic procedures and methodologies, and studying biological properties to gain insights into the future applicability of these compounds. Collaborative efforts will be considered to achieve this goal. The project will also focus on incorporating Green Chemistry principles and optimizing the synthetic procedures and methodologies. |
