Executive Summary :

The current project entitled "Computer Simulation of mixed convective flows in triangle and rectangular enclosures" aims to investigate mixed convection in two prominent enclosures. Mixed convection in enclosures is a complicated flow phenomenon as it describes an internal flow. Internal flows are difficult to study but more significance than the external flows. Novelty in this project is to make an attempt to investigate mixed convection in two prominent enclosures such as triangle and rectangular which was not investigated earlier. Motivation for writing this project is due to the real challenge in computing the numerical solutions of the complex variables involved here in the governing equations of this problems. Further, we are motivated to investigate this project by using efficient schemes, such as the Upwind and the Hybrid schemes of the finite volume method. For the purpose of describing the significant outcome for such a complex problem, we ought to take the help of a computer for the purpose of computing numerically, the unknown flow variables such as the velocities, pressure, temperature and concentration. Further, significant results needs to be described with the help of some simulations. Usage of computer coding is inevitable in the current topic as it is mandatory to verify the coding used in this investigation with available benchmark problems existing in the literature.
