Executive Summary : | The Gauhati University (GU, a NAAC A-graded) is the pioneer University in NE India. Since 2011, the Institutional Biotech of GU (IBH-GU) developed through DBT’s support and harboured in the Department of Biotechnology, has created an umbrella for holistic development of students and allied manpower including skills and knowledge base through training, projects/dissertations/PhD works and extension activities, thereby substantially contributing to the vision of the largest University of NE India. Our trainees are serving in different capacities all over the country, contributing to both R&D and academics. Although, certain logistical failures limited IBH-GU target executions in recent times; but, the revitalization of the set-up is already in progress with the active cooperation of all the stakeholders of GU. |
