Executive Summary :

This study proposes to develop a model by dividing the existing human contact population into various compartments.

Outcome/Output:

The proposed model was simulated and compared with real data of COVID-19 of India. The impact of ?as (spreading rate of asymptomatic infected individuals) and ?t (rate of individuals being tested) have been investigated on the epidemiological process. It was found that ?as plays a major role in the spreading of infection while increasing the ?t, increases the symptomatic infection and isolation. The basic reproduction rate (R0) which tells about the secondary infection for the proposed model has been plotted. The curve of R0 of the proposed model shows a similarity with the curve of R0 with real data of COVID-19. The critical threshold for the proposed model has also been derived to show the outbreak of infection.
