Conflict and Cooperation in Cellular Populations

The discussion meeting focuses on three broad areas of research relating to cellular communities, (i) Emergence of phenotypic heterogeneity in isogenic microbial populations of cells (ii) Metabolic division of labour in isogenic as well as multispecies communities, highlighting genome network analysis, metabolic modeling, and chemical/biological approaches that conceptually address such phenomena, (iii) Information transfer between cells, aiming to bring in more mechanistic insight to the above.

Microneurosurgery

The workshop is unique consisting of live surgeries without any didactic lectures with a continuous interaction with the operating surgeons as well as other visiting faculties. The atmosphere at the workshop is informal and a wide range of neurosurgical operations are demonstrated. Another unique aspect of this workshop is the facility available for the attending delegates to choose the cases for surgical demonstrations.

Molecular Neurobiology: From Genes, Neurons to behavior in health and disease

The workshop focuses on the current progress of neuroscience and neurobiology on health and disease issues aiming to cover various model organisms used in the field. Leading neurobiologists from India will discuss their recently emerging findings in affective neuroscience with their immediate clinical or translational relevance.
