Executive Summary :

The study of the transfer, simultaneous excitation-ionization, and excitation of helium-like atoms by ion impact at intermediate and high energies has gained increasing interest in both theoretical and experimental approaches. This understanding can contribute to the development of electronic devices and advanced materials by elucidating microscopic processes at the microscopic level. Ionization cross sections provide valuable input for simulations of atmospheric, industrial, and environmental processes. Theoretical investigations of excitation, excitation-ionization, and transfer of He remain challenging due to electronic correlations effects and strong coupling between various channels. Elementary particles like electrons/positrons are dimensionless, negatively/positive charged, and have light mass with larger de Broglie wavelengths at identical velocities. Therefore, electron/positron-collision dynamics are principally different with respect to heavy ions impact. The current motivation is to develop a complete four-body formalism of positronium formation, simultaneous excitation-ionization, and excitation in collision of ion with helium-like atomic targets. Electron/positron interaction with electrons in the target and nucleus is crucial for investigating charge transfer, excitation-ionization, and excitation. The accuracy of helium bound-state is crucial for determining the TDCS for the excitation-ionization process. The presence of the incoming ion is described by distorting the final bound state wave functions with Coulomb waves, which will be taken in this investigation.
