Executive Summary :

There has been a vast collection of literature and research done on genotyping tuberculosis, but the predominant MTB strain in HIV patients has not yet been greatly explored especially in the Indian population. Thus using these molecular tools we have evaluated the predominant MTB genotype in HIV positive and HIV negative patients and by comparing Spoligotyping and MIRU-VNTR techniques.
