The scheme aims to promote excellence in research in higher education by supporting research programme of University and College teachers in various disciplines. The University Grants Commission provides support to permanent/regular working/retired teachers in the Universities and Colleges.

Grants to University/College Teachers for Minor Research Project

The scheme aims to provide financial support to researchers in all streams working as teachers in the universities and colleges to meet requirements for individual and research in specialized areas who wish to undertake, along with teaching work, a Minor Research Project or working for doctorate degree under an approved supervisor.

United States-India Science & Technology Endowment Fund (USISTEF)

The aim of the United States–India Science & Technology Endowment Fund (USISTEF) is to support and foster joint applied R&D to generate public good through the commercialization of technology developed through sustained partnerships between U.S. and Indian researchers and entrepreneurs. The governments of the United States of America (through the Department of State) and India (through the Department of Science & Technology) have established the USISTEF for the promotion of innovation and entrepreneurship through the application of science and technology.
