To develop reference genome and transcriptome of safflower through next generation sequencing (NGS). To develop germplasm/mapping panel for oil content in safflower. To identify and validate candidate genes associated with oil content through allele mining or association mapping. To map genes/QTLs associated with key oil yield enhancing traits
