Description : | This technology is designed for community-scale removal of iron from groundwater using a process based on aeration followed by precipitation and filtration. The system operates without the use of chemicals or electrical power, making it highly suitable for rural and resource-constrained areas. It effectively reduces iron concentration from levels as high as ~25 ppm to within acceptable drinking water standards. The unit can be integrated with existing water extraction systems such as Mark-II hand pumps and submersible pumps, ensuring ease of deployment. The treated water complies with drinking water quality norms and the system has been widely adopted and deployed across multiple regions.
